This short deep sea public cruise is available daily on the hour from Wilson’s Wharf or Durban Marina; and is ideal for a fun filled hour for the whole family young and old. It is more of an educational tour that you would want to share with family or friends. We head out to sea via the harbour channel, where you will be delighted by the view of of Durban and Moses Mabhida Stadium.
At any time on any cruise we need a minimum of 6 people to make the cruises viable (if you urgently want to go, book private or pay for 6 people).
Durban Harbour is the biggest and busiest harbour in the Southern Hemisphere. There is so much to see, that the trip would seem shorter, than it was. We will take you up close to enormous ships. We also show visitors the different docking points, Cargo Loading Areas and Durban’s famous North Pier, through which large cargo vessels exit the harbour. You will be amazed at the channel, which, with respect to shipping, is very narrow..
Apart form the obvious fun that you will enjoy, we will also ensure that you spend at least an informative hour on the boat.
Picnic baskets are permitted.
Our catamaran must be booked as a complete UNIT for a MAXIMUM of 47 passengers.
Our skippers have all the necessary documentation and qualifications in order to skipper our vessels.
There are also two trained crew on board to assist the skipper.
We do strongly advise that if you have never gone out or know that you do get sick you should take a motion sickness tablet which is available from most pharmacies.
No food is provided aboard but you can take some snacks along. There is a restaurant where you can purchase food and a big selection of restaurants to choose from at the end of the excursion.
Passengers who fail to present themselves for a cruise without advising the Isle of Capri cruises in advance, no later than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time will be a no-show and the cruise ticket will be forfeited without the right to a refund.

Boats need to be refurbished given a clean, fresh look, and the entire area there needs to be renovated and modernized. We ended up being offered 30minutes instead of an hour because it was just the 2 of us which wasn't fair even if we were refunded, we would have loved to get what we paid for and rather state it on your website so people don't come with high expectations. - Mkhulu
Enjoyable but should really be labelled as an extended harbour cruise as you really just stick your head out of the harbour mouth and then come back which is hardly a sea cruise. The boat is fine and comfy with 2 engines but boat may not be suited for rougher conditions at sea. Still a nice tour up to the harbour mouth and back again. - Branden
Thank you for reaching out. The cruise was really nice overall. The person driving the boat was engaging and friendly and did a great job explaining the surroundings and pointing out interesting details along the way, which made the experience more enjoyable and informative. It was a relaxed and pleasant outing, and the interaction from the crew added a personal touch. Thank you for a well-run experience. Kind regards, - Thabile
Friendly, professional, patient, accommodating and truly African (helpful) staff. The ride was amazing and exhilirating at the same time. The waves were a bit scary but it was a truly enjoyable trip. - Jennifer
Great experience. Thank you. Would be nice to spend more time on tjr open sea. Took about 20 min each way to get in and out of Harbour. - Chimene
